The board of directors must be composed of nine shareholders of good standing and are elected at the annual shareholer meeting in October. The board will create a nominating committee prior to the general shareholder meeting to gather, vet and present eligible nominees. Each of the board committees must be chaired by a standing board member and may be composed of shareholders and annual members in good standing. Furthermore, if a standing board committee chairperon appoints a sub-committee to conduct pool business, the sub-committee chairperson must be a shareholder but need not be one of the nine elected board members. We encourage the participation of all eligible members.
Board of Directors Meetings and Election
The Annual Shareholders Meeting is held in the month of October and all shareholders are encourage to attend. The FWPA board nominating committee will inform the board and shareholder's of the number of board positions up for re-election, record and vet all nominations by September 15th of each year. Additionally, nominations can be made from the floor during the Annual Shareholder's Meeting.
If you're a shareholder in good standing and would like to be considered as a nominee for the board of directors, please make your intentions known by contacting the nominating committee chairperson or any current board member. Lastly, every shareholder's voice and vote is needed, so be sure to confirm that your share is in good standing by checking with the membership chairperson. In the event that you can not attend the shareholder's meeting to cast your vote personally, consider granting your proxy to another trusted shareholder (see the Shareholder Proxy Form in the FWPA Documents section).
FWPA board of directors meet regularly, on the first Monday of every month, throughout the year and all shareholders are welcome to attend.

Annual Shareholder's Meeting will be held on October 30th at the pool, 3:00pm. A number of board member positions are up for election and re-election. If you're interested in serving please contact the nominating committee, or be present to be nominated from the floor. If you cannot attend consider giving your shareholder proxy to another trusted shareholder, in good standing, so your vote is counted.
Seasonal member boat storage ends October 31st. Please make arrangements to have your boat(s) removed for winter storage. Shareholder boat storage is all year round.
